Life is a roll
Before becoming AlphaDyce, he was Darius Locke, a gifted probability analyst, competitive game strategist, and inventor who believed that luck was not random—it was a pattern waiting to be understood.
Darius spent years studying risk, mathematics, and human behavior. He became famous for predicting outcomes that seemed impossible to calculate. He could estimate when a machine would fail, when an opponent would make a mistake, or when a dangerous situation was about to turn worse.
But Darius never considered himself lucky.
During an investigation into stolen experimental technology, Darius discovered a device known as the Probability Core. The machine had been created to manipulate the chances of specific events, but the project was abandoned because even the smallest adjustment could cause unpredictable consequences.

When agents of the V Syndicate attempted to steal the core, the device overloaded. Darius grabbed a pair of prototype control dice and tried to shut it down. The explosion fused the Probability Core’s energy with his nervous system and permanently bonded the dice to him.
After the accident, Darius discovered that every time he rolled the dice, he could temporarily alter probability.
A high roll could increase his strength, speed, accuracy, or defensive abilities. A low roll could create unexpected complications, strange accidents, or hilarious situations. Sometimes an enemy’s weapon jams. Sometimes a door opens at exactly the right moment. Other times, AlphaDyce ends up slipping across the floor while somehow still defeating the villain.
Because his powers are never completely predictable, AlphaDyce learned to rely on intelligence, improvisation, and humor instead of luck alone.

AlphaDyce can temporarily manipulate probability by rolling his specialized dice.
His abilities may include:
- Increased strength, speed, or reflexes
- Extraordinary accuracy
- Temporary protective energy barriers
- Causing enemy equipment to malfunction
- Creating unlikely escapes or coincidences
- Predicting possible outcomes during combat
- Locking an event into a specific probability for several seconds
However, his powers have limits. He cannot fully control every result, and repeated use causes probability instability. The more he pushes his luck, the more unpredictable the consequences become.
